I wanted to create personal holiday cards that tied in with the various cultures that have had a presence in my life. The text reads "Happy New Year" in both Tamil (my family's South Indian language) and in Japanese (for the two years I lived there), which is the most seasonally appropriate greeting for each language. I included the sakura and paisley motifs and the color red for their cultural significance. These were printed digitally on 80# cardstock. (Nov. 2007)
