This was my favorite bridge in Ikeda, the town in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan where I taught English for 2 years. The name roughly translates to "navel bridge"--Ikeda's generally in the center of Shikoku, so it's referred to as the "navel" (or "heso"). (Nov. 2005)
