Rengeji Temple, Ikeda, Tokushima

This was a 1300-year-old temple in the town of Ikeda in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, restored within the last 40 years. It was about a 20-minute walk from my apartment, nestled halfway up a mountain and overlooking the town below. It had a lovely sand garden. (May 2006)
